Rumors about ANGT sites for 2021-22 season
We are starting to get overdue on the dates, sites and teams to be announced for the 2021-22 Euroleague Basketball Adidas Next Generation Tournament. Here is one tweet with a rumor about where Europe’s youth eyes will be set later this season.
Tommy Lloyd (and his international band of characters) starts era at Arizona
The much-awaited Tommy Lloyd era at Arizona has finally officially started. The move of the long-time Gonzaga assistant coach (and international scouting maestro) to the Wildcats made major headlines, and there will be plenty of attention on his team this season. Quite possibly more from the international basketball community than the US hoops market. Here are highlights of Lloyd’s first victory as head coach at Arizona.
A Swiss prospect to watch
One of the great things about basketball is that talent can come from anywhere. He is a scouting report about a young Swiss talent - Rafael Martinez - who you might see pop up in a US college soon. He has already played for Switzerland.
Lithuanian Pivorius debuts … with 5 three-pointers
A Lithuanian who can shoot … count Hubertas Pivorius as one of them in college basketball as the freshman made his NCAA debut for Northern Kentucky and drained five three-pointers in scoring 19 points in 16 minutes. Who knew you would come here and find a reason to follow NKU hoops this season.
France TV situation cleared up
For those who have been following the broadcasters nightmare in France - which is most of hoops lovers in France - a resolution has come as l’Equipe acquired the broadcast package rights.
